When does registration open? Registration opened on January, 20, 2020.

When is the Personal Bib Cutoff? You must register before Midnight July 15, 2020 to receive your customized bib number.

When does Registration close? Online registration closes at midnight on August 12th. You can still register at packet pick-up and on race day.

Can I pick up someone else's race packet? Yes, as long as you have permission from that person. Written permission not required.

Can I pick up my race packet on race day? It is strongly recommended that you pick up your packet at the pre-race packet pick-up. We understand that some people are coming from out of town, so packet pick-up will be available on race day.

What is in my race packet? Your packet will contain a bib number with the timing chip. 

I registered, but have learned that I will be unable to participate.  Is my entry fee refundable? Our policy is no refunds, no transfers to another individual or to another TCMA event, and no rollovers to the next year's race. Sorry, no exceptions.

What time does the race start? Both races start at 7:30 AM.

Can I start the half marathon early? No, there is one start time.

When will the buses start picking up runners? The shuttle buses will start picking up runners at 5:15 AM. The last bus to the start will leave Tacoma at 6:30 am. We don't recommend taking the last bus, as it may fill up.

When will the bus start returning runners to the start after the race? There will be one bus going back and forth from the start to the Gig Harbor airport starting at 10:00 am until noon.

Will there be professional photographers on the course? Yes. Race photography will be provided by CJ Photography 

Is the race chip timed? Yes. Chip start, chip finish. Timing provided by RaceWire Timing Services.

How many miles is the Half Marathon? 13.1 Miles

Is the course certified? Yes, the Half Marathon course is USATF certified (WA09035MW)

Can you walk the Half Marathon? Yes. You must be able to maintain an 18 minute pace to complete the course in the allotted time of 4 hours. If you have not finished in 4 hours, the course will open to traffic and you must move to the sidewalk and obey all pedestrian laws. The timing mats will remain at the finish until the last participant has come in.

Is there a gear check at the start? Yes, located next to the start line. Your gear will be transported to the finish area for you to pick up when you finish.

Are there porta-potties at the start? Yes and plenty of them! There will also be porta-potties at each water stop along the course.

Can I warm up running on the runway before the race? NO! The runway is off limits. Running on the runway may get you disqualified from the race.

Can I wear headphones during the race? Yes, be safe and don't turn them up so loud that you can't hear volunteers or police. We recommend leaving one headphone out of one ear.

Will there be pacers? Yes, by the Maniac Fanatic Pace Team!

Will there be energy gel on the course?
Yes, Nunn gel will be on the course at approximately mile 6.7. Nuun electrolyte will be offered at each water stop as an electrolyte replacement drink.

Are strollers allowed on the course? Strollers are OK on the course, but please start in the back not to get in the way of faster runners. But no roller blades, skateboards, dogs (unless guide dogs), or bicycles (except for course marshals or lead cyclists).

Can we have a 2 person relay team? No, you have to have a team of 3 people in order to participate in the relay.
